This is a huge thing to consider. Who will be the first pet to be spayed or neutered in the new clinic? This is not something to be taken lightly. We have decided that a contest is in order.
We want to hear your most moving rescue story and picture. We will post them on Facebook and the pet with the most moving story will get to be our first surgery. They winner will receive their spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, and a microchip at no cost. Not to mention the honor of being the very first surgery at our spay/neuter clinic!
Who will we choose?
Of course the pet needs to not yet be spayed or neutered and the owner needs to be able to drop the pet off at the SPCA of Solano County Spay/neuter clinic and pick the pet up that afternoon. We will also feature your pet on advertising materials, website, etc.
The pet can be a dog, cat or rabbit. To enter the contest you need to email a picture of your pet with their story to ddillon@solanospca.com and we will post them on Facebook, the top five story/pictures with the most likes will be in the finals and the winner will be chosen from those.
Why a contest?
We feel that this clinic has been a community project and we want the community to be part of the opening. It is our intention to reduce euthanasia rates in Solano County one spay (or neuter) at a time.
